Quick Start
This is the fastest path to get FiveLaunch working safely.
1) Install / run
Section titled “1) Install / run”- Download the latest release from GitHub Releases: https://github.com/oyuh/fivelaunch/releases/latest
- Download either portable or windows build version.
- Run the provided executable.
2) (Recommended) Make a backup first
Section titled “2) (Recommended) Make a backup first”Before you link anything, back up your existing FiveM folders/settings:
- See Backups
3) Set your FiveM path (if needed)
Section titled “3) Set your FiveM path (if needed)”FiveLaunch normally finds FiveM automatically at:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FiveM\FiveM.app
If your install is not there (custom drive / moved install), set the app gamePath to your FiveM.app folder.
- See Settings
4) Create your first client profile
Section titled “4) Create your first client profile”- Click New Client
- Give it a name like
Clean,ReShade, orRP Server
A “client” is just a separate profile with its own mods/plugins/settings behavior.
- More detail: Clients
5) Choose what to link for that client
Section titled “5) Choose what to link for that client”Most users should start with:
mods: ONplugins: ONpluginsMode:junction(default)citizen: OFFgtaSettings: OFF (enable later once stable)citizenFxIni: OFF (enable later once stable)
If you use ReShade/addons and things act weird, switch:
pluginsMode→sync

6) Launch
Section titled “6) Launch”- Make sure GTA V and FiveM are closed.
- Click Launch on the client.
If the launcher reports file-lock/permission issues, close overlays and try again, or run FiveLaunch as admin once.
