Quick Start

FiveLaunch is a profile launcher for FiveM. Each “client” is a self-contained profile with its own mods, plugins, and (optionally) graphics settings, so you can keep a clean RP setup, a modded single-player setup, and a ReShade build side by side and switch between them in one click.

This page is the fastest path to a working launch. It takes about five minutes.

  1. Download the latest FiveLaunch-Setup.exe from GitHub Releases: github.com/oyuh/fivelaunch/releases/latest

  2. Run the installer. It’s a per-user install with no admin prompt (UAC) required. The first screen summarizes what the app does and asks you to confirm you have a backup (see the next section).

  3. Launch FiveLaunch from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Before you link anything, make a copy of your existing FiveM folders and settings. FiveLaunch keeps its own safety backups, but a manual copy is the fastest way to get back to a known-good state.

FiveLaunch auto-detects the standard install:

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\FiveM\FiveM.app

If your install lives somewhere else (custom drive, moved install), open Settings and set the game path to your FiveM.app folder.

  1. Click New Client.

  2. Give it a name and, optionally, pick an icon. Good starter names: Clean, ReShade, or the name of a server you play on.

  3. Open the client and choose what it links (see the recommended defaults below).

Option Set to Why
mods On Give this profile its own mods folder.
plugins On Manage plugins per profile.
pluginsMode junction Fastest; right for most setups.
citizen Off Advanced; can break FiveM if incomplete.
gtaSettings Off Enable later, once everything else is stable.
citizenFxIni Off Enable later, once everything else is stable.
Pure mode Off Turn on only for servers that require it.

Running ReShade or shader add-ons? Switch pluginsMode to sync, which copies plugins physically into FiveM.app/plugins so path-sensitive tools behave.

  1. Make sure GTA V and FiveM are fully closed.

  2. Click Launch on the client. FiveLaunch links/syncs the folders for that profile, then starts FiveM.

While the game runs, the tray icon shows a live “Playing <client>” status with the elapsed minutes. If the launcher reports file-lock or permission errors, close any overlays, make sure the game is closed, and try again.
