CitizenFX.ini

CitizenFX.ini is the config file for the CitizenFX runtime that FiveM runs on. It lives at %APPDATA%\CitizenFX\CitizenFX.ini.

FiveLaunch can keep a separate copy per client with the citizenFxIni link option, so different servers can use different values. See Clients.

Editing it

• Change settings in FiveM or in-game when you can, instead of in the file.
• If you edit the file, back it up first and change one thing at a time.
• FiveM may regenerate settings or act up if it reads a value it doesn’t accept.

What goes in it

The contents change between FiveM versions and depend on which features you use, so this page doesn’t try to list every key. Use this loop instead:

1. Back up %APPDATA%\CitizenFX\CitizenFX.ini.
2. Make the smallest change you can.
3. Launch once.
4. If it breaks, restore the backup.
